Welcome!

A free workshop that comes to you!

Goals

  • To raise awareness about the benefits of choral music to the individual and to the community
  • To help existing programs increase membership and to raise artistic development
  • To initiate and encourage the creation of choirs in schools without such programs
  • To attract and develop additional community financial support for choral music in the schools

Whether you have a chorus or not,
reap the benefits of being a Partnership School

Content

  • Although the needs of each school will determine specific content, CPP curriculum is based on the fact that singing, basic musicianship, participating in an ensemble, and performing are all learned skills that can be taught to anyone.
  • Core components include exploration and experimentation with: breathing; vocal color and range; rehearsal skills; solfege; pre-note reading and sight-singing; and the choral sound.

Scheduling
Six sessions spread out over 3-6 weeks
